Welcome to the Active Adults 50 Plus Ministry of the Niceville United Methodist Church. We warmly welcome you to participate in our activities and programs, and join our community of people who are seeking Christ and who are growing and serving in His name!

Highlighted Events:

  • Young at Heart: Don't know what the Transformations Ministry is? Come hear all about it on Tuesday, January 13, as speaker Rev. Tyler Fuller will share all the exciting things happening through the ministry at our church. Join us at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Cost for lunch: $6.   • Pickleball Informational Meeting: Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The sport was created with one thing in mind: fun. It was designed to be easy to learn and play whether you're five, eighty-five or somewhere in between. Join us for an introductory meeting on Tuesday, January 13, immediately following the Young At Heart luncheon and learn more!
  • Karaoke Night: Calling all Karaoke singers and those who just like watching! Join us for a night of fun and bring your friends! Thursday, January 15, 5:45 – 8:30 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall. Cost: $3, payable at the door. Please bring a sweet or savory finger food to share. Sign up with Barbara Wilder, 678-4411, ext 123. Rhonda and Bill Tippett will lead the karaoke!

Trips:

  • One Day Event: Fruitful and Flourishing! Don't miss this Alabama-West Florida conference event on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at beautiful Blue Lake. The day will include music by the Wesley Boys, speaker Rev. Tim Trent, and lunch. Departing Niceville campus at 8:15 a.m. with a pick up at St Mark campus at 8:35 a.m. Returning 3:30 p.m. Cost: $20 includes transportation and lunch.   • Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center: Join us as we explore the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center in Mobile! On Thursday, January 22, we will be touring "Voices of Jerusalem," a special Photography and Artifact Exhibit, as well as viewing the film "Jerusalem" on IMAX. Departing Niceville campus at 7:00 a.m. and returning 4:00 p.m. Cost is $30 (includes transportation, admission, and lunch).   • Keys to Longevity with John Voss: Are you wondering what changes you could make for optimal health? You are invited to participate in a 3-week journey as John Voss will share with us from his extensive research and facilitate discussions. We will meet Monday afternoons, January 26, February 2 and 9, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in Room 700. Signing up with Barbara will help us to be prepared for you, but drop-ins are welcome!
