Rev. Jeremy Smith
Jeremy was born in Port Arthur, TX, where he lived until High School, when he and his family moved to Tuscaloosa, AL. He attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a B.S. in Marketing in 2003 and received a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2007. Prior to coming to Niceville UMC, he has served three churches since receiving his call to ministry in 2001: Middle School Minister at St. Mark UMC in Northport, AL, Youth Minister at Rosedale Baptist Church in Richmond, KY, and as the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at St. James UMC until July 2010.
Jeremy's ministry is focused around serving God's people through preaching and teaching, transforming the local community in the name of Jesus through engaging the most marginalized, worshipping God with everything he has, and empowering God’s people to be the People of God everywhere they find themselves. At Niceville he serves as the Teaching Pastor and is primarily involved in preaching, evangelism, and worship & design.
Jeremy has been married to Christy, a CPA, since December 2003, and together they have two sons, Aidan and Maddox.
